Numerous places have been barely touched if you are inclined to do some hiking. Once diving and spearfishing in the Big Sur area, utilize extreme caution because the water can be incredibly tough. Big Sur is for experienced spears. Always stay safe and find a calm place. Never rush into a dive. Find another location. 

Cypress Grove 

This is among my favorite spots for scuba diving and spearfishing. Off this point, in around 30 feet of water, I speared my first decent-sized lingcod. It was the final stage of the dive. The accessibility was excellent that day, and the ling relaxed on a rock in the open. I did a double-take before moving in for the shot. I am looking for an old photo of my buddy and me carrying up the fish after the dive with some kids who were fascinated by this prehistoric, trying to look fish. Carmel River Beach is located to the south, and Butterfly House is located to the north. This area is ideal for diving and spearfishing. 

San Clemente Island

The Los Angeles area, Dana Point, and San Diego are home to some of the country’s largest and most well-known charter fleets. They also share fishing and breeding grounds in many cases. With the variety of opportunities, it is difficult to guarantee that you will witness some of the finest angling in Southern California. With so many lakes, islands, rivers, reefs, and an unending deep sea, pinpointing a starting point might not be easy. However, the places described below may help you narrow down your options. 

Glass Beach

Still, the time has come in Northern California, and the location is Glass Beach. Another example of human development has also left an indelible impression on nature. But, unlike in Mcabee Bay, in which pipelines proved to be a boon to the fish, the bottler’s industry left plenty of glass-like material that molded the sand on the beach. That is not to say that the beach is not safe. But, on the opposite, the sand is so glossy, if you will, that it is challenging to resist visiting this one-of-a-kind beach and observing the fish against a sparkling backdrop of several reflections and color combinations.
